there was one called gay hotline in my town and it didn't have that number (obviously). I got a few kids to actually call it, but not many of us were allowed to use the phone back in the 70s and even parts of the 80s. We didn't have that "right", or at least not in my house.

I remember playing around with that callback number. Of course that was back when we had the 512 area code. Anyone remember the Frost Bank time/temperature number? I think it started with 224.
