I drive 281 every day - like many here probably do. Does anyone know what the road configuration of 281 (2 miles north and south of 410) will be when they finally finish the construction. It appears as thought the work between the medians will be wide enough to add a lane, but I am not certain about that.

It also looks like there may ba a new lane going in on the southbound side just south of 410, but I can't tell. I drive by here and wonder what all this work is for everyday, and can't come to any concrete conlusions because it appears as though the construction may not be wide enough at certain parts to encompass a whole lane.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I flew into SA this past weekend for a quick Mothers Day visit and I must admit, that highway construction around SA Intl is impressive. I am not used to seeing all the flyover ramps being built off 410 and 281 near the airport!

Yes, 281 South to 410 West is open. Took it last week. Not sure on the 410 East though.

410 East to 281 South is the next one to be opened (by next month), but with all the rain it's pretty apparent that progress has been slower than expected.
