Perhaps we have heard from the master of the universe?
I think he has been smoking the funny stuff. Perhaps the meaning of life is hidden within for San Antonians. Maybe it was a late at night Tequila driven post.

Trim it down some, oh, Shakespeare of San Antonio and re-post. Due to the unanimous reaction of fellow posters this attempt at emphasizing San Antonio's good points became meaningless when words which were used are so obscure that they are deemed out of context. Bad usage of good grammar.
Once again as said before Merovee, this stuff is all mere semantics.
Bad grammar and erudition don't blend well.
How is South Texas the New Phillipines?
I am a soon to be master of one and always had been a master of none.

Shakespeare was easy to read as Bacon had dialogue and mine has many references from of my city.

(Lol few know belief that some have of them being same person or wish to see the fire at the globe - or care too - or how downtown had theater for porn, or our redlight disctrict, and how buffalo roamed from one side of town all the way across when there was grassland that is now forest.)

Eruditism leads to specific and hard to understand book knowledge, I talk normal as if in front of you., of my love of town and history.

"Well, if you can speak like writing, then logically it follows that you might want to also sometimes write like you speak." - from a TED talk.

And if i wrote a proper essay they would still not care.

Also no need to explain every tangent taken but fully connected to. Research or not. Quien saben, dicen.

As for Nueva Filipinas check out the map at Never Stop Learning. .

Nueva Santander just south of us along coastline.

Dumbing down to fall in line with vox populi would leave me with nothing to say of true love for San Anto.

Skip "the" lots for it is repetive and boring. And grammar makes for less compression when having so much to say.

Semantics is I say it one way and them another way. But they dont say it in anyway.

And unanimous opinion was against the man for most south, east, and west siders, Medina, and E-N also is bias ed against our DA, and had they been their guys the reporting would have been less scanadlous just scandle.

BTW the Current lost all alt-scene and street cred and now shill for the gentrification set with too many ads.

Trash. It is about money now not for us anymore.

There is no way then. Merovee. Noone cares- as it is written now.
I write like I think.
Your love for the City would be better serve enlightment if directed toward people not
toward yourself. You must explain any tangential thoughts , people here will not follow your train of thought
I have found. Verbal , written shorthand is a hit and miss attempt at best for readers here. Facts put into a fiction novel style prose works the best for conveying ideas. Otherwise it IS only semantics and relies on
subtleties of language for conveyance. So what?
You are the master of none it seems apparent ,yes, because of so many grammatical mistakes
and punctuation errors. Purposely?
Make no mistake Mer, it was always about the money. Always has it been.
If the ongoing is how you speak, it ain't normal. Punctuation and grammar errors are in there.
Los que no saben hablan tambien.

We are not in a teacher-student relationship.

However written none would care anyways. I don't direct to self. And the people are far and wide and not even members here.

Tangents explained will not do a thing but waste my time and theirs. Now those who would waste time can skip it.

Master of none is not grammar police fail on my part.

Playing grammar cop is your fail at Master of Me.

Nah it was not and still is not about money. True rulers of land are from the soil. Why the Mexican runners could not be enslaved by Spanish Eight or hate.

The land defends and avenges. Think America will last longer than Rome?

And moneyed and disenfranchised comparisons praise both in the end.

They are blessed and take more. So we can compensate for true boon and get bless too. They don't and can't monoplize bless.

I see many down here blessed. Not me but I am.

You see economic division in my text when I noted how it is without hate. To control system and actually divide us are the ones who do, they dont post her, their supporters and benificaries might, like 25 or so?
No big deal bro.

I will post again on topic not dragged into trolling. You defend them which is good. As they do not accept you but a few do. And you still hope they respond in kind you?

Hijo, si no quiren jugar con ti, no quieren jugar con ti.

A local knows where to shift the tone as it is not duplication.

Property taxes are high, no state or local income tax but infrastructure, schools, and emergency services still need to be paid for. Unless you are coming from a high tax location or planning on living in the boonies - you will not save money just because there is no state income tax.

These threads can easily be turned into knitting circles. I have now put most of that circle on ignore though so this thread (and any future thread) is easier on my eyes.

San Francisco is very much an American city with many cultural influences.

San Antonio is in the United States but it is damn hard to tell that sometimes.
Just like Miami is in the United States, but hard to tell sometimes. Predominantly Cuban. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Cuban and Latin women in general, BUT when I lived in South Florida I was annoyed that there were so many people who only spoke Spanish. My pet peeve is that if you live in a country for any period of time, learn the predominant language.

This thread has been so negative, that the thread alone may have talked me out of moving to San Antonio if I get a job offer there. I mean, I like Latin culture, BUT I'm also single and sounds like the dating scene is just as bad as it is in Oklahoma City. Some of the people posting here make Oklahoma City look like paradise by comparison.

I'm an introvert, and I moved to Oklahoma City from Atlanta for a job. Talk about culture shock! But after a ton of time and effort spent doing random meetups and trying to meet people in general, I finally have a decent group of friends here. BUT it has taken me 4 1/2 years to find them. I don't want to start over with that in a city that may be even less friendly than where I am now. Its very cliquish in Oklahoma in general with almost no transplants. I couldn't wait to get out, but if it won't be an upgrade from my current situation, I need to re-think it. I'm shocked at all the negative comments on this thread, but glad I read it before potentially making another big mistake.

Default Perhaps.

Perhaps you should not accept a job offer here. If you have any doubts about the city I would not come.
Most love it here, but some transplants do not like San Antonio or South Texas.
It is hot and dry. Mexican culture is very evident. Sometimes people place themselves on one side or the other and do play the race card anonymously as you've seen here. It is ugly. You are right.
If hearing Spanish is your pet peeve this ain't the place for you. I speak Spanish and English so it is all the same.
Unlike you. My pet peeve is hearing English. Bilingualism is a good thing.
I must add that if the English language was good enough for Jesus Christ it is certainly good enough for me.

I would not let this frayed thread discourage you however. I would not use it for an example. I assure you, overall this City is an open and friendly place.
Probably tens of thousands of military members have come here and end up retiring here and that many more people relocate to the City from all over the country. All of the time. There will always be a few sour apples. Come and visit us and look around.
There are multitudes of things to see and experience here in South Texas. Most within driving distance of the City in one day. Texas is so vast a state that it could take two days to go and come from a destination. I could pontificate on this but have done so many times already.
I would easily guess this is a better place than Oklahoma. I cannot place myself there. Oklahoma is OK. I guess. I have passed through a few times. I noted nothing memorable there except for a Burger King built over l-35 like an overpass.
It is getting kind of crowded presently in San Antonio these days and you will only make it worse.
