Well, finally the idoit loan officer sent me an email with the copy of my denail letter for USDA and conditional approval for FHA. I sent them the conditions already, and I will nag him for an answer by Friday. This guy is something else. At least the house is looking nice. It will be done probably by the beginning of next month.

Update! we finally closed last Monday June 18th, and have been living here since the 21st. The house came out pretty nice, most of the things were fixed that were found by the inspector, BUT I decided not to do the final inspection, and missed a couple of things. The ones that bother me the most are a chipped cabinet from the kitchen and the worse one is a chipped garden tub! It's ceramic, so I already called the construction supervisor about these things, and hopefully he will cut me some slack. I'm not holding my breath since you have to catch these things before you close. If not, I'm going to have to hire somebody to fix the tub for me, since it sounds like a hassle. Now I regret not getting a final. I still don't know if I want THEM to fix it, since they would hire the cheapest guy possible. Oh well, wish me luck, and I'll update in about 6 months.

Good news. Ryland is going to fix my issues. Rick, my construction manager has always been great and always responds quickly.
