I think this idea would be something that the city should consider investing in. I've seen some really cool ones in touristy cities on the Travel Channel.

What do you think?

Are you talking about tourist areas like downtown or the riverwalk? Hmmm....All the eating places have WCs already in them. There would have to be a change machine nearby unless it takes only paper $$...Nawww....

did you see the one porta potty that was made of one-way glass. From inside you can still see everyone walking around you, but they can't see you. I'm anti porta potty as it is. And that would DEFINITELY make me want to hold it until I got home

The ones I saw on TV were probably more expensive. The outer door closed you into a little kiosk type room after you paid. Then it automatically sanitized it between each use.

It worked good in England while I lived there. The ones I saw were never dirty and kept up with. People are more used to paying for extras there. It would be a harder sell here.

I say it should be a goal, think it would be easier for people to find one instead of entering a business and just using the bathroom.

Seen them and used them while in Boston. Best one was when you rotated...so 3 or more huge restrooms in one spot for .25.

as texasredneck said, the homeless are likely to turn them into a dump in this city... or live in them... or something equally absurd.
