I enjoy his books, but to take the effort to see him live is a bit too much for me.

He writes beautiful food pornography... And his acerbic wit makes me smile. Enjoy the show!

I debated going, but passed based on others' reports. Allegedly, he spends a great bit of time self-aggrandizing and bashing vegetarians. I'm going to miss his tv show though. The new CNN one sounds like a pass.

In any case, have a wonderful time! It is a nice place to see speakers.

I chewed on this, especially when they were selling the tickets at clearance prices on Groupon, but I just can't imagine him being interesting enough to be worth the drive. Maybe if it included food?

I went to the show, he spent about 5minutes out of the 2+ hours talking about vegetarians, but related it to his travels to places where people are vegetarian not by choice but because meat is so scarce and dream of the day they come across an animal to have meat.
I love Tony but wasn't sure what to expect, but he is a great speaker and spoke much longer then I expected including a Q&A session at the end. We got the Groupon deal and it was definitely worth more then $26!

The show was wonderful. It would be nice if more people shared his philisophy on life. Be nice, be kind to people, be humble, except to chef Paula Deen..

As you, I didn't know what to expect. I took my brother who was a skeptic of Tony, really not knowing much about him and his totally enjoyed the show as well.

I heard from my mother-in-law, who went to see him speak where she lives, that he has a similar dislike for Food Network's Sandra Lee, of Semi-Homemade fame. MIL said he had a very funny story about the first time he het her.

So instead of being thankful that he gets paid to pretend to cook and talk about food all day, he's going to go around doing hit jobs on fellow TV chefs? Glad I passed.

Paula Deen is a special kind of awful. You make millions teaching people how to make fatty foods and then when you get diabetes from your own crap, you turn around and try to cash in on that as well.

Agreed,I can't stand him or his show.I guess his TV persona is one of a grown man still trying to act as if he's 22.
