No, we don't. Ikea is not a pawn shop nor Bel Furniture... It's lower priced with better variety than Pier 1 and not as pompous and pretentious as Motif while still capturing modern/Euro flare...

Besides, why would San Antonio want a bunch of stores that cost more? To look at? Ikea is commensurate with the media income here -sub 40k. It's 'affordable design' to the masses...

No, but then high priced furniture (read status quo) doesn't carry as much meaning to my life as it ostensibly does to yours.

Moderator cut: personal attack

Well stated... nice.

We have a passionate fan of IKEA.

The joke would be on us if that's really the plan. It's really not so farfetched that IKEA would consider the RR store as the store which services this market when you look at how far apart IKEA stores are in the US. $5 gas might cause them to rethink that strategy, though.

Any word on whether IKEA signed on at The Rim? The land at the at the NW corner of 1604/10 has been cleared and Vance Jackson has been expanded North of 1604. When will the overpass be built?

Land has been cleared on the North side of Old Camp Bullis road which is part of the office portion of The Rim. The Village at The Rim is supposed to open next year.

Does anyone know when/if construction has begun on the residential portion?

Does anyone know where Nordstrom Rack will go within The Rim?

There was a small crane working on the Hotel Talavera parking garage, but has since been removed.

The overpass is planned as part of the 1604 tollway project.
