Has anyone been to the University's Light the Way ceremony on the first night (Sat., 11/17) or on a later night? I looked at their webiste, but it didn't say if it's a driving tour or a walking one and if so, how much of a walk is it? Is there another place you recommend for taking my family to look at lights and get in the holiday spirit?

I have not personally been to the ceremony, but I frequently pass by the lights display they have every year. The stretch of Broadway through Alamo Heights down to Hildebrand is definitely a nice sight to see. I also recommend Downtown and also Windcrest.

Windcrest (NE of San Antonio) is a MUST to go see Christmas Lights/Decorations! Here are some links to see different areas around San Antonio. Enjoy!

I go to Incarnate Word! Light the Way is tonight (the actuall ceremony and turning on of the lights), but we have the lights on all throughout the holidays up to early January. The lights go all throughout our campus (which you can drive or walk through and such. It's open to the public, obviously). You should come see it. There's alot of hard volunteer work that goes into putting up the lights every year.
