San Antonio radio-stations during holiday season.

Those are the words I heard this morning from the song on the radio as I was driving to work. I was like, really? I swear I heard the same thing at the same time the other morning too. It feels like I just heard it about a week ago before that. Actually, it was an entire year ago when they played the song ad nauseum and it only FELT like a week ago.

I am really getting tired of the same old songs being played over and over, one year to the next. Why can't they change things up a little? Here are some suggestions:
(1) Throw in some jazz instrumentals.
(2) Play stuff from the unheard 90% of album tracks where they only play ONE song from whatever particular artist's "Christmas Album." I think they should not play any track that was played the previous year.
(3) Switch the artist/song with one singer to the alternate artist/song of another.

There seems to be endless possibilities for improvement. Am I the only one who loves Christmas music but gets tired of the same rotation of songs year after year?

I agree... same few songs over and over again. Repetition every few minutes. And there are so MANY beautiful Christmas songs we never or seldom get to hear...

I listen to the radio a lot. Except during the holidays - I much prefer my own mix!

I think some are on a loop too. I remember spending several days baking last year and the songs repeated in a sequence, same order and same set of songs as the day before. I thought I was having déjà vu. It really did get quite annoying listening to the same couple dozen songs over and over and over. I ended up downloading a bunch to my iPod and turning off the radio.

I think, lots of people are tired of having Christmas shoved down their throats by retailers earlier and earlier each year - it gets old pretty fast, especially when the season spirit starts way before Christmas, actually a day after Thanksgiving (heck, I saw many stores decorated already few weeks ago ).
Everywhere you go, you hear the same songs, and nothing will make you hate Christmas music as much as having to hear it every day for a month and a half each year. You turn the radio on, and hear the same, just interrupted by blaring commercials, and loud obnoxious ads for merchandise.
There is not much of Christmas spirit in it at all. It's just brainwashing you to go out and spend more money.

There's just nothing good about terrestrial radio anymore. Doesnt matter how free it is, it sucks horribly. Stations all have a 30-40 song playlist and they dont deviate.

Is it a matter of cost? Why are they so limited?

I just wish they would mix things up a little more.

Hobby Lobby had Christmas stuff up and Christmas music playing in the Middle of October. It made me want to puke
