It snowed about 8 or 9 inches in 1985, last real snow that we had. We have had maybe an inch in areas some even two, but 85 was the biggest in recent history

I think it was 1972... I was a little kid in Austin at the time and there are pix of me making snow angels during that storm, wearing a wool hat and gloves (remnants of my mom's childhood in Rochester, NY). LOL... from what I remember the snow melted the next day.

That weekend is snowed in '85 was one of the best I'd ever had. My sister and I, along with my then-3 y/o son, shared a house . She had left on Friday to go out with friends and my parents had taken my son to spend the night. Since neither my sister nor my parents were able to drive because of the snow, I was home alone with a well-stocked refrigerator and nowhere to go and nothing to do. It was absolutely GLORIOUS!

It must have been 1982 when we lived off Boerne Stage Road and Scenic Loop. It snowed a bunch out there. San Antonio is bound to have gotten some of that! After the twins were born we got snow here in S.A. My wife says Jan. 1985.
