Sounds like it's already in effect.

"Waitresses at a Mexican restaurant on the city's West Side will no longer dance while serving customers, District 5 Councilwoman Lourdes Galvan said Wednesday."

Curiosity got the better of me and since it is not a stretch for me to drive over there I checked it out. You did not miss anything... just another dive. It was closed for business. It is also in a very rundown area of town and not a very safe area to visit. It was surrounded by shacks and other dives.

Why go to Houston to be a perv? You can be a perv in SA!

I have been very busy so I haven't had time to post on this.

Obviously many persons missed what the council woman said. "The offensiveness of dancing, laptop dancing is not what the neighborhood is looking for," said Galvan. They will no longer give laptops to the customers.

Dang it. I knew i should've gone sooner.

Sad part is that "La UVA" won. They were out there protesting the restaurant. "La UVA" should use this same energy to fight against the drugs, prostitution, gangs and tagging that is more detrimental to their neighborhood. If they were able to organize against a small restaurnant, why can't they do it against a real serious problem that will harm their children.

LA UVA = La Union de Viejas Arguenderas

Apparently the health inspectors paid a visit this week and found enough violations to close the place down temporarily. In addition to unsanitary conditions, there was no hot water available.
