Yes there is a new Baptist Medical Office Building in Westover Hills at Wiseman Boulevard and 151, near 1604. It appears to be partially filled - my Doctor is there. The best part is that there is a new M&S Imaging there on the ground floor. I was able to make an appointment the same day when calling in - pretty unheard of at their other locations! I believe that Christus Santa Rosa is the only hospital (currently under construction) currently planned for the Westover Hills/151 corridor at this time.

The other nice thing about the medical center over in the west side by SeaWorld, saves a lot on gas, and the parking in the Medical center sucks.

Yes, Christus Santa Rosa is the only hospital under construction in the area, though Baptist and Methodist are in the planning stages for hospitals nearby.

This is all exciting to us in this area of town! I work in Stone Oak and while I absolutely love my job and co-workers I don't like what it costs me per week to get there! I'm an RN and work on a PRN basis so hopefully some of these hospitals will need a few relief nurses! Not to discount the medical care we will have here. My husband had a stroke a month ago and I followed the ambulance to University. THought we would never get him there!

Oh, and i would not doubt that. Everything else is moving out there.
It is part of the west side but it is known better as the far west side. Sort of like the north side and the far north side.

A little OT but I'm very sorry about your husband's stroke. I hope he's recovering well.

I live off of Wurzbach close to Ingram and it takes me LESS time to get the the area where the aforementioned medical facilities are going up than it does the med center sometimes. Maybe the Bandera project will help to ease that but HOPEFULLY I won't live here by the time it's completed.

Med center is too much med, not enough acces (streets). It's very inconvenient even though we live so close. I can't imagine coming from far away!

DigginHouseVibez,
Thanks for your well-wishes. He is recovering well and has no residual effects, praise the Lord! Driving back and forth for 6 days was grueling! I always hated leaving him there so I stayed until late into the night. He got great care there but the facilities need improvements in a bad way!

Any recent reviews of the new center? We're in the market for new family medical, and this place would be great....
