People desire different things, some are happy here, some not.
What is YOUR desire, OP?
Do you have any skills, you will bring to the city? Are you a giver or a taker?

BTW: how many threads you want to start about the same topic? Keep in mind, for now - it's enough.

I desire San Antone possibly as a place to live cuz it has German culture, its pretty,it is close to Hill Country and the coast at Corpus/Port A.I also like that it has mild winters and is not as liberal as Austin but thats just me.I also like that its has lots of kool things to do and i would be able to have a better chance at finding a good church than Austin.

Tell me about the German culture you can find here right now...
We don't have even one real German restaurant.

I was at Beethoven's on Friday eating schnitzel, white sausage with kraut and curry ketchup on the side, drinking Sünner Kölsch on draft while listening to a live polka band.

Lol... Nice But that alone doesn't make a German "culture" in San Antonio...
BTW: does one has to be a member to eat there?

Bavarian Restaurant in Kirby
On FM 78.
This place has been here for YEARS with great ratings.
Desirable is subjective.
For me it would be for reasons OP wouldn't understand.
For the record, it's a beautiful place to live.

I live on the South Side and like it a lot. I like the blue collar vibe and it reminds me of the South Side of Chicago, which I like. I bicycle most days along the Mission Reach of the river walk which is as fine a park as any in Chicago and IMO much nicer than Chicago’s lake front paths. I like to go to Mission Espada and sit under the portico and get my Catholic vibe.

People here are generally cool, laid back and approachable. At least the ones I run into. The north part of town I don’t know. I like the area on Broadway up by Finck’s cigar shop though.
