I stopped looking at Wiki as a reliable source sometime ago. I wouldn't exactly call SA Business Journal as the "end all, be all" source for naming this city either, same goes for city-data posters as well.

River City would make a lot more sense to me were the river a major navigable one. You know, like with St. Louis, Cincinnati, Memphis, Louisville, Detroit etc. The San Antonio river is little more than a creek.

I suspect this River City business is just Chamber of Commerce public relations and marketing BS.

As rynetwo already pointed out. Looks like "Military City USA" it is, officially and trademarked anyways.

The City of San Antonio announced its ownership of the registered trademark "Military City USA" on Monday during a press conference on the steps of City Hall.

“For many years many have called San Antonio 'Military City USA,'" said United States Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Juan Ayala. "Today, ladies and gentlemen, we are officially 'Military City USA' ... No other city in the nation can say that, and it's a great honor.”

I will never use either term myself though.

Which is really ironic because the more people use Wikipedia, the more people edit it, the better it becomes.

Yeah, probably has something to do with the River Walk.

huh?

Ted Cruz does not embody real Texan ideals that are tried and true.

More native Texans voted for O'Rourke than Cruz.

Why would I call a refugee that arrived yesterday a real Texan?

Stop living in a damn tribal world.
