Duran Duran was supposed to play the Majestic tonight, but the show has been postponed due to Nick Rhodes being under the weather.

I had really wanted to go to this show, but wasn't able to buy tickets due to night classes.(which finish this week- yeah!) I wonder if they will reschedule and I can see the make up show. I hope they will still play here- I have loved them for years but never been able to see them in concert.

I didn't even know they were coming. That was my wife's ultimate favorite band in the 80's.

I saw them the first time in 1984 at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin...they were at their peak then and a few of us from college drove up from SA for the night...good times!!

Glad to hear they're still touring almost 25 years later, although in smaller venues.

My wife bought tickets to this, she was really bummed. Hopefully they rescedule. They cancelled the last 3 shows of their tour, one here, one in Mexico, and I think the last one somewhere in South America.

The one for tonight in Dallas got cancelled, too. My daughter is sitting on pins & needles, hoping that Friday's show in Houston doesn't end up down the drain as well.

Reading the news release on the official web site, it sounds like Nick Rhodes is stuck in Panama or Mexico because the medical advice is that he could permanently damage his hearing if he flies. That would not be a good situation for a musician.

Blocked ears is never a good thing...if it's true, they definitely won't allow him to fly b/c he could do serious harm.
