Today I heard the news that a new UTSA Athletic Complex is going to be build on the 1604 and Hausmann Area. I bough a house near the area. My question is those Real estate experts. Will this be a good or bad thing to my property?

Well, im a Broker and that is a good question. I guess it all depends, kinda hard to say before you see any plans on paper if you know what I mean. I would say if you aren't backed up to a baseball field with alot of noise, or some abnormal situation like that your property value should rise. Just a guess though. Many other factors to consider in the future though that would affect the value.

Will it be open to the public? On the bright side, you can jog/exercise there since it's so close to your house.

Too many variables to know that at this time. Unless you're right next to the place and get a lot of noise, lights, traffic flow, etc., it'll probably help, or at least won't hurt. Owning property near a University is usually a pretty solid investment, as you'll always have a constant employer right there, and you'll always have students looking for housing, so you can keep it as a rental in the future.

Unfortunately you're going to have to take the "wait and see" approach. I wouldn't worry too much about it though.
