My understanding is that the owner of Aldo's has a part ownership in Aldino's and so they have some connection, including the bags they use for takeout.

However, I would say that Aldino's has a more mediterranean style of food (don't remember the proper regional term) and they have items you won't find at Aldo's and vice versa.

Overpriced, cramped dining room, average food, and nobody that works there speaks any English. Their wine prices are so high they offer 'half bottles' that taste like they've been filled with the Carlo Rossi.

I think it's one of those "go there to say you can afford to eat there" places. You can do a lot better in the medical center.

If I come to SA this year I'll be sure to check out Aldo's. I loved Little Italy when I visited back in 2004!:-)

MAHMOOD GHAFFARI is the owner of Aldo's on Fredericksburg, don't know if he has anything to do with Aldino's, give me a few minutes and I'll find out.

FARA FARAHANI used to be the owner of Aldino's at Central Park, but when they closed that one down and moved it to 1604,
Mahmood Ghaffari is now registered as sole owner of both Aldo's and Aldino's.
