I wouldn't label the reporting of information from local govt records as yellow journalism...unfortunately in this day and age some of us live in a fish bowl...more so with public employees and officials. Obviously this officer has some careless habits that have resulted in bad endings...this latest stunt of his is unforgiveable and based on his past history..if I were on a disciplinary review board I'd vote to terminate his career regardless of the outcome of any investigative findings for or against him. If he stays with the department and I were his Chief..I'd assign him to a permanent foot or bicycle beat, or assign him to the evidence room for the rest of his tenure.

What the hell good is $5k gonna do when she's trying to negotiate a $450k balloon payment that is 2 weeks past due? I doubt $5k would even cover two weeks of interest and late charges.

I would not be surprised if that was actually it. That's a pretty good title and gives away the entire plot at the same time
She was offered something like a $1 million to do one a while ago, but you know she's all about morals and doing the right thing, so she turned them down. I'm guessing the price they're willing to pay will also go down to more like $500K.
