Where to get a full English breakfast in town?
So i saw this documentary on TV about the English breakfast in England and it looked so good. I guess it's sort of like a full American "country breakfast" with some modifications. Here's the ingredients for a typical English breakfast:
The normal ingredients of a traditional full English breakfast are bacon, eggs, fried or grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread or toast, and sausages, usually served with a mug of tea. Black pudding is added in some regions as well as fried leftover mashed potatoes (called Potato cakes). Originally a way to use up leftover vegetables from the main meal of the day before, bubble and squeak, shallow-fried leftover vegetables with potato, has become a breakfast feature in its own right. Baked beans (from a tin) and hash browns are modern additions.
When an English breakfast is ordered to contain everything available it is often referred to as a Full Monty. The OED states that "Perhaps the most plausible (explanation) is that it is from a colloquial shortening of the name of Montague Maurice Burton (1885-1952), men's tailor, and referred originally to the purchase of a complete three-piece suit". [ From Wikipedia]
So, what do you think 'chaps? Think I can find something like this here?

The Lion & Rose locations serve breakfast, but I've never tried it. I love their pasties, however. There's a place in town called British Sensations that sells British-style bacon and other goodies.
I whipped this up the other day:

Wow, well there you go Derpy, that looks about right. You even got the tomato in there.
RD, you better take pics. And remember, milk in England is "moo" (or it may be just a Canadian thing. When I was in the Yukon they called it that).

Not sure why one would want a "full English breakfast" in San Antonio. Kinda like asking for heuvos rancheros in London. (More likely to find those there, though.)

That's quite an interesting breakfast.........are those VanCamp's Pork and Beans? Looks like a great start to your day.
BTW, you're a great egg-cooker. I learned years ago to embrace mine "hard" because I totally suck at getting them like you've got yours. Talent!

Gasp! I went out for Italian the other night. Should I have just stayed home and had BBQ? Air fares are down, though.....it might be affordable enough to pop over for some good authentico stuff.
