The first of the two new Loop 410/Bandera Rd. elevated connectors opened this morning! It's the westbound Loop 410 to northbound Bandera ramp. The opposite one should be open within the next week or so.

I will be making a trip out this way this weekend...just to try it. I'm so happy this little bit of construction will soon be over!

Oh sweet joy... I can't wait until both are open. Although I might avoid it for a day or two until the regulars get used to it...

Could the time actually be approaching when one will be able to drive the entire NW corner of Loop 410 and not see orange barrels or barricades? That hasn't been the case in the 7 years I've lived here, so I feel sorry for the folks who drive it every day.

The last two projects in that area are scheduled to wrap-up this year and there's nothing new in the pipe, so yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, that's true pretty much citywide. Most major projects are wrapping-up now or will within the next year or so, and with the current funding shortages, there are are hardly any new major funded projects on the horizon right now.

Does this mean 1604 will remain a parking lot for ever?

This is incredible news. The drive north/eastbound in the morning has gotten way smoother, and now the westbound drive in the afternoon should hopefully go a bit smoother too!

Now if only that pesky area from Culebra to 151 wouldn't stop up so much

Any idea on a completion date for the Blanco Rd Expansion project?
