Did anybody hear about this accident where a car jumped over the median and landed on another car.
The person that was driving the other car was a co-worker,
about the nicest person I've met in San Antonio and now he's in ICU because of .... well, I won't say.

Here's a blog that his sons put together for people to know how he's doing.
Praying For Andy

I think this is/was discussed in the thread about poorly located signs in that area.

Terribly sorry for your co-worker and their family, and you. It is never easy to make sense of senslessness.

glad to hear all steps have been forward so far
did they ever release the information on what exactly happened to make the other driver jump the median? I know the drivers here are really bad, but I have never even thought of worrying about the drivers on the other side of the median..

Did they ever say what the cause was? My mom and I were leaving Target right after the accident happened, and we knew it was a horrible accident. My hubby was on duty, but the accident happened a still over from his area. Any links to learn the details?

Sorry, I haven't heard anything else
at work, they sent a few emails informing everybody about Andy but after lunch they didn't give us any updates.

Man, I almost cried seeing his picture,
I haven't been in the company for too long, but I see him at least twice a week when I go to get coffee and talk to him a little and I swear that he's easily one of the 3-5 nicest people in the whole company.
I guess someday when we go to heaven we'll find out why things like this happen to good people

Man, he looks great....for having a truck land on top of him. It appears that he will recover fully--at least the blog sounds promising anyway. He's already got his sense of humor back, and you gotta love that. I bet he's an amazing guy.

We may never know what happened, but we do have to trust that there is a reason for it. (well, you don't have to, it is a choice)

Anyway, thanks for the blog link.....I bet there will be a giant party when he comes walking out of that hospital on his own.

Oh wow...the only thing that makes me smile in this is that when I saw this on the news, I thought the driver of the van had died. (Not to say that I'm glad anyone died... the idea just amazed me that this guy (van) was driving in one direction on 410 and out of nowhere a car comes flying over from the other direction and landed on his van due to zero fault of his own.)

I'm glad to hear that your friend and coworker is on the road to recovery.
