Default Communities in southwest San Antonio

We are relocating to San Antonio from Delaware, hopefully sometime this summer. DH just started a job with the Air Force and just found out the the office will be relocating to somewhere in the southwest of San Antonio. We've been searching for homes in the northern (east, west central) part and feel we need to begin again. Any help would be appreciated so much.

Are you planning on buying a home or renting one? You may want to check out the area of Potranco and 1604 (there's a large thread here on the very area). I was stationed at Lackland AFB for many, many years and feel that area is very well suited for a family.

The majority of the frequent posters at CD San Antonio live and work in the area that would probably be best for you..which is that Potranco/1604 Culebra/1604 area. You came to the right place!

I believe the zip is 78245? 78251? Something around there. I'm not anywhere near familiar with the area though.
