Does anyone make the yearly trek up to Plantersville for Ren Fest? ^_^ We've gone once this season and plan to go back Nov 21-22 for Barbarian weekend. Ren Fest is always fun! We'll be leaving the evening of the 20th and set up camp super late but at least we won't have to drive before we go to the fair!

Are you camping in the parking lot? We've thought about going but with the no electric it would be hard for us. Sounds like the party in the parking lot gets pretty rowdy. Wish I was 20 - 30 years younger!

They DO get rowdy, and nekkid!!

I went 2 years ago, but I'm really not into the whole Renaissance scene. It was fun, but not my cup of tea. Tons of people love it, though, and it was pretty packed.

Well, there's a camp site that is near the parking areas. But yes! They do get rowdy, drunk, and nekkid (not always the most attractive, but it's always entertaining). This past time someone actually stumbled into the bonfire, but he was helped out pretty quickly, and tore off running into the night. Crazy. There's no electricity, and with so many people with fires it gets super smokey. But still lots of fun.

Mrs. Bowie has a friend who was a Ren Fest regular in another state. Based on the tales she brought back, our nickname for that event was "Lust in the Dust."

I did a google image search for rennaisance (yea I spelled it wrong, so?) and got a load of pics that I swore should've been caught by my safesearch filter.
