Stone Oak is the only place I've ever seen jaywalking tickets given out.

I went to Klusoz (sp??) this past weekend, and surprsingly it was not as painful as I expected. It must have been happy hour cause I scored some pretty cheap martinis and beer. The waitstaff and bartenders were really friendly. Its probably not a place I would go to often (uhh wheres the dancefloor?? and the music they were spinning is not my taste) but overall it was a pretty nice place. Also tried the food (duh of course) and it was pretty good too.

Wow no one has said anything about Southtown!
I believe that is our only living piece of 6th street in San Antonio (as St.Mary's is not as hot as it use to be) Little niche bars & the abundance of art & the people on the streets regardless of First Friday or not. The crowd is mellow. Casbeers is good for live music & so is Bethoven. Go down there on FF & see live musicians singing for a few bucks on the street, just like Austin! Oh & here is a little extra:
Casbeers has awesome jalepeno apetizer thingys (will clog your arteries in a heart beat!)
Titos has good tortilla soup
China Latina good sushi
Madhatter's good dessert
& Bethoven has really good schneitzel
Filling station is very filling too
Azuca's mojitos are very good & sometimes you can catch the heard of runners on a beer run there
There is alot more there than that though

Love Southtown (I live in it), and agree with all the above, but I wouldn't equate it with 6th St. It's a bit of an older crowd for the most part, more art oriented, more "culturally" oriented, both adult and kid-friendly. When I think of 6th St I think of drunken college kids for the most part. Maybe it's not always like that?

Don't forget Friendly Spot Ice House, newest spot on S. Alamo. Great outdoor area + playground, and heated back room ("The Hidden Spot"). Food by Rene from MadHatter's, but different cuisine: wonderful empanadas!
