I was looking around for some the other day because it got down to like 45 a couple of nights last week....but also too, I think it'd make good ambience for special occasions or if a storm ever takes the electricity out.

But I havent had any luck finding any, most stores have replaced the firewood area with 24 packs of coke and water. Any idea? I found some at HEB in Alamo Heights, but that was the ONLY one I seen that had any.

1. drive around any upscale neighborhood just before brush day

2. drive around any north side subdivision being cut in and graded out

3. there must be what a million firewood yards in SA that will still have dozens if not hundreds of cords to sell google or yellow pages are your friend

4. if you get really desperate and can't find anything ask your local BBQ restaurant as they need wood all year and maybe you can get different flavors from their purveyor

Go up Bandera Rd. past Helotes. There are 2 good firewood places. One is on the right, and one is across the street from it. Here is where I get mine, at Villarreal's:
