Well, I'm sure none of you slim people say this but one that I have heard is "full as a tick".

And one of my personal faves when someone asks how ya are--I'm fine as frog's hair.

A guy I work with always says "I'm as confused as a termite in a yo-yo". Cracks me up everytime he says it.

That reminds me of my favorite ones from Venezuela:
- "When I say the donkey is black, is because I have the hairs in my hand"
- "More dangerous than a monkey with a razorblade"

Even when not in the middle of speaking Spanish I often end up saying, "Aww, que cute," and "Dios Mio."

"I know, right?"

"I know, huh?"

"Ay yi"

"Illinoise" instead of "Illinois" - you say "Illinoise" to me and I will correct you, I don't care who you are. And if you are foolish enough to say, "Why put an S if you don't pronounce it?" I will say, "Do you say, "ArkanSAS, too?" Drives me insane.

And yes, "getting off the car" - that totally just makes me laugh. Of course when I say I'm going to the movie house, I get laughed at, so it all evens out.
