Doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but that's just from the viewpoint of one who has lived through a lot. Are you and these friends going to sign a contract...legally requiring each to pay a certain amount each month? Otherwise, guess who is going to get stuck? Not my business, but you did say "any othere advice would be great".

Dude that is totally cool. Mom is buying a house and giving it to y'all. Sounds like my neighbor who lives behind me.

I love camping, too. I live in my house 1/2 the time, and the other 1/2 the time I live in the woods.

IMHO, you definitely want to live on the NE side.

just don't move by me please. Already went through that scenario with the kids living alone in mom's house. The constant partying, the public peeing, the eventual burning down of the house. I can't go through it again. Who are these parents that agree to these kinds of arrangements?

let me know when you get settled in I will come kick a few holes in the walls and tear the toilet out of the floor for old time sake

just thinking of what you and your friends are about to have going on makes me wish I was 15 years younger

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and not assume all students behave unruly.

Seriously. I've got grown neighbors with teenage kids that party and annoy me to death.

Not all teenagers party non stop and annoy their neighbors. Some are actually too busy (working and going to school).

These guys are not teens.

I know some good kids and their parents are the rowdy ones!!

NickyWayne, I think that New Braunfels would be a good choice for you. There is lots of camping and hangin out at the river. If I was ur age, I would pick NB.
