What is it like during Xmas and New Year? We have a one year old child and thinking about a 1 week vacation. We are used to subzero temps in winter and consider anything above 60 a heat wave. Is Palm Springs a fun place to visit? Can we walk outside with a kid comfortably? Outdoor swimming in a heated pool? Thanks.

Christmas is a great time to visit. A lot of the snow birds go home during the week before Christmas and the week after New Years. Ask hotel where you're planning on staying for a better rate. We don't heat our pool during the winter but a lot of the hotels due so you might want to double check when making reservations.
