Mid-30's .... you're just a whippersnapper! You gotta be over-the-hill like the rest of us to remember this place!

Funny this topic should come up. My GF and I were recalling Farrell's just the other day. Before we me - and unbeknownst to each other - we both took our little children to a Farrell's in Rosemead back in the late 80's. This was my younger brother's first place of work as a high schooler.

I was just telling my husband about how you guys were talking about Farrell's... and he laughed and said that he didn't know it was popular here too. He was born and raised in Hawaii and apparently, it was pretty big when he was growing up (he's in his late 30s now). He was talking about how him and his brother would always get the Green River.

I have been to Farrell's this year and i liked it. I had the chili cheese fries and ended up taking some of it home. I ordered one scoop of chocolate in a waffle cone and they ended up putting in more to fill it up. it is worth the money. The only downside is the wait. Before you can get seated, it is an hour and a half wait. I went in line at 1pm and we didn't leave the place until almost 4pm

I used to go to the one at Stonewood Shopping center in Downey in the mid-seventies, and always had too much fun!!!!!

Does anyone know if there were any of them in Orange County back then? A friend of mine who grew up in HB in the seventies and eighties said that she'd never heard of Farrell's, and I thought she was kidding.
