What exactly are your interests? Maybe we can give you advice as to where to go according to that. I agree with googling your city and those around you. Most city sites list "tourist" activities or a provide a list of things to do. There are also many social networking sites that meet up to do different activities or share things in commong (ie Meetup: World's largest community of local Meetups, clubs and groups! - Meetup.com). Try to to find your interests and city and go!

Join a Gym
Plant a garden

Meet people online
Take up photography
Learn to paint
Go rollerblading or jogging

... many things to do anywhere you live, one doesn't need much to enrich one's life.

Yes, it is dull in Riverside. Stuff to do in the area:

movies
shopping
eating out
bowling
play pool
Wine tasting & tours in wine country in Temecula
record shopping in Riverside (some good record stores there: Sounds Like... & Mad Platter come to mind)
join a gym & take some classes

Soccer Mom had good suggestions too...there's a lot you can do anywhere to entertain yourself. Reading, playing an instrument, painting, cooking, etc. Stuff like that is fun & more fulfilling than most entertainment.

Nightlife out here does suck. In Riverside there's a few lounges/bars, but the clubs are generally ghetto. Pechanga Casino in Temecula has some clubs too.
If all else fails, hop on the freeway & go to the beach or hang out in LA or SD for the day/night.

Thanks for your input Soccermom, it was very helpful. I'm currently looking for a Full-time job until schoo starts in August. I have books but I don't want to read them, I want to meet PEOPLE. Since, I don't have a job I'm trying to save money, I'll join a gym when I get a job. Gardens are nice to look at but planting one doesn't interest me.

I play the piano but my dad doesn't have one. I have no interest in meeting people online. Where have you been? It's dangerous!! I have a digital camera and I take plenty of pictures, thank you. I don't want to paint, go rollerblading, or jogging I want to MEET PEOPLE. And my dad is getting me a cute little puppy but I don't know when that will be. But a dog is not a person. Nothing you posted has answered my question, where do I go to hangout with people my age??

Thanks for the input orangeapple. I guess I should just stop comparing Baltimore to Riverside because they're just not the same. I guess I'll just have to continue going to LA on the weekends until I can relocate there.

Thanks though, I've done some of the things you suggested. I've gone to the movies, out to eat, to Gameworks, the Improv Comedy club, and I've definitely gone shopping. LOL I have family visiting from home for spring break and we'll be going bowling this weekend. So I'll have lots to do for the next week.

I just wanted to know if there were specific areas or places that young adults hung out so that I could meet some new friends. I guess they'll come as I start work and school. I definitely planned on going to a few of the clubs in the casinos though, I heard they're nice/fun.
