I just found a very cool site containing user reviews of many San Diego area businesses, restaurants, pizza places, etc:

San Diego Restaurants, Dentists, Bars, Beauty Salons, Doctors

Seems like a good resource for people living in San Diego.

What's really nice, is it lets you narrow your search down to an individual neighborhood (Clairemont, Pacific Beach, Hillcrest, etc).

Yelp is awesome. I use it all the time before I try a new restaurant. Chowhound is another good one.

I love yelp, especially when checking out hole-in-the-wall types of places, since they can be some of the best.

Default San Diego Resorts and Restaurants

San Diego has to be the best place to vacation in the US. There are so many incredible restaurants and hotels to visit. The weather is always perfect and the people are very friendly. Make sure you hit Old Town for some of the best margaritas and carne asada tacos north of the border! If you are looking for good deals on hotels and package deals, check out www.sandiego.nyctourist.com/sandiego-resorts.php
I found some great prices on San Diego Resorts.

I disagree, I like Old Town but it's a tourist trap with overrated and overpriced food. There are much better places to find tacos around the county. And Yelp.com actually reviews many of the great taco shops we have in San Diego.

I love Yelp. I have a profile with tons of reviews of places from all over the country. We always consult Yelp before deciding where to eat.

I actually deleted my profile and all my reviews... after spending some time figuring out who the "Yelpers" really are.

Yelp is a cool site, but it's not as good as it could or should be.

What do you mean by this? I've always been suspicious of some online restaurant reviews b/c some of them seem so fake like they were written by the owner or manager.

Yelp is about 90% broke twenty-somethings newcomers to SD who hang out in person at "Yelp Elite" events. They're not bad people or anything, they are just... well young. And single. and really, really like to drink.

They value "cheap" over nearly all else. They will neg anyplace that is not "cheap" as "overpriced".

It's good as a starting point, but not much else.
