There used to be one on Claremont Dr but not this year. I need one near Bay Park.

This one makes a lot out of a barren locale in Lakeside and is a neat working dairy farm. Not much here in farm food (ie, apple pie, cider donuts, and the like) but Costco. Not your classic New England p. patch but eeks a passing grade. Deserves a visit to support a local family farm. Within 30 minutes of Bay Park.

Oma's (Lakeside) & Bates Nut Farm (Valley Center) are the most popular ones, and hence a massive cluster-f on weekends.

Yeah, our daughter's preschool is taking a field trip out to Bates Nut Farm. Seems to be the one many of the schools go to field trips on.

I hear Nate's Butt Farm is a bit like Disney, but haven't been there. Lot of crowds in New England, but given the orchards are spread out over acres, folks spread out.

Both of those are a drive. Anyone seen a smaller one close to Downtown? If I'm going Valley Center I'll make a camping trip out of it

well there is a patch, and it really is just a patch, on 5th Av- I believe just north of Laurel in Bankers Hill. Really, really basic-some hay bales and lots of pumpkins and not much else. I would say it is more of a neighborhood patch then a destination one.

Hay bales and a truckload of pumpkins in a parking lot does not a pumpkin patch make!

Sorry to go slightly OT but since we are talking Halloween, is the Haunted Hayride still at @Del Mar Fairgrounds?
