This shouldn't be a surprise.

Two of the keys to the second half play of the Padres last year were Grandal and Headley.

Guess who's not in the lineup?

Having said that, the infield has regressed to the play we saw from the oh so wonderful Hudson/Bartlett combo. That's not acceptable.

I was at Friday's and Yesterday's games. They look like a minor league team. I hope this new ownership steps up and puts together a quality squad soon.

End of last season, they say they need starting pitchers. Off-season, they make 0.0 deals, and thenthey contradictorily say they have pithcing depth. Outscored first six games by 40-14. New boss, same as old boss.

They extend Huston Street's contract last year but they really have no use for him because they never have a lead going into the 9th.
