Does anyone have any store suggestions to find some cute/funny coffee mugs, preferably San Diego related on them for my in-laws that live out of state?

I was figuring head to the touristy parts (Seaport Village) but if anyone has seen any recently that would be great if you can share?!

I just picked up a couple of 'San Diego Harley' cups for some old friends in the Midwest. The new Harley store on Morena Blvd is huge and has a large selection of San Diego-embossed gifts and gear.

If Harley is not your thing, Seaport Village is probably the best source for San Diego-related gifts. Be sure to checkout the new Headquarters addition. It just opened last month.

Seaport Village is probably your best bet. If you can find one of the larger farmers' markets, they often have crafts for sale as well. You might find something there, but odds are better at Seaport Village. Starbucks often has "San Diego" mugs, but they aren't particularly cute or funny. Rather pedestrian, in fact.

Salvation Army thrift stores have lots of Christmas mugs this time of year.

I was going to say Starbucks as well. Not funny, but they have 3 different San Diego themed mugs. Some more colorful than others. LOL...I'm drinking from one from the UK at the moment. ( I collect them, from the different States and Countries I have been too) Some are definately nicer than others.

There's at least one, if not several, shops devoted solely to tourist stuff like seashells and mugs and such on Newport in OB. You can hit the antique malls and the parking is free and not too bad this time of year

I'll second this, and I think the current mug is pretty cute:

Sorry, thanks for all the replies! I ended up at Seaport Village and there is one dedicated mug shop there and a couple other touristy places that sell mugs. Kinda disappointed with some of the selection but I did find one! Thanks for all the replies!

well, If anyone else is interested in the future, Rite Aid and CVS usually carry SD themed 'gear'-mugs, towels, tshirts, etc and often on sale...
