I contacted a moderator to ask if the exact address could be removed. I agree - it's not a very good idea.

Haha, done and done already rented. Czech guy, Re biglocalgovtissues: I am an Ohio Democrat which makes me a California Republican. Lol.

It's a 4%-5% return - after mortgage costs etc it means I just break even or profit a tiny bit. Life could be worse.

Wait, what? You created this thread today and now already have the house rented out?

I purchased the home last month. Rented it out just last week. I'm sorry for a lack of clarity.

Oh okay. Did you purchase it as an investment property? If not, why are you renting it out already?

And thus you sought validation, right? I follow OChousingnews. Larry, aka IrvineRenter, calculates value based on rents. I agree with his assessments.

No. It was purchased as a retirement property. We had jitters about carrying the debt load (we are an extremely fiscally conservative family with our personal finances). We have the money. We were just pretty nervous. We figured we would rent it out a few years, let it pay some of the mortgage off, then move in later. I hope that's clearer.

Negatory. I am from Ohio, my retired mom and dad are actually the people who bought the home and are moving out there. I am just their mindful son who helps them with this stuff.

Parents!
