I know this has probably been beat up a million and one times but when i did a search, i couldn't find much.

To make a long story short, my husband and I will be moving to San Diego in March. He is in the Navy and is being relocated to San Diego for school and then we want to get stationed there. I am an accountant, I have my bachelors degree, and have been working for about a year. I have searched on here and searched google to try and find places where i can actually do a job seach and get good results but no such luck. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I would prefer a g/s job, but will consider anything. I currently work as a cost accountant for a manufacturing company in Washington State.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!

You'll love San Diego. It's a military city, so you'll feel right at home.

You will easily find a job in San Diego. Accountants were in demand when I left a year ago.

There are a few employment agencies that I would definitely try - Eastridge Group and K-Force to name a few. I know Eastridge used to have a special division just for accounting jobs. These places often have jobs that are beyond clerical/entry level positions.

You may even be able to temp for a short while to "get your bearings" and figure out where you want to land. I've moved a lot and there is nothing worse than moving to a new city and not liking your job.

you could also try the major companies here in sd, and there are a LOT of them here. I think they usually have a job convention quarterly.

if you cant make this event, maybe you could at least apply directly to the companies, instead of going to a headhunter(temp agency). you never know until you try.
