The Raiders are dirty, their fans are crude and their team sucks.

I feel much better now....thank you.

I understand their fanbase is crazy and brings a lot of gangsterism to it's culture, but if they move to SD, they seriously would need to change up their looks or somehow soften it's image.

The point is, I don't want the Raiders here, I hate them! But at least SD will have an NFL team, I hope to God the Chargers stay, so we can put this behind us, but the reality is, if the Chargers stay in SD, then the Raiders will most likely join the Rams in Inglewood. Spanos does NOT want that to happen, nor does the NFL. This is another reason why he will most likely join the Rams in L.A. to protect the SoCal market, although he is blind if he thinks he owns the SoCal market.

This whole situation is extremely tough for me personally, and we currently still have unknowns, the waiting game sucks, I just want all this to be over with so as a city and fans we can either celebrate together, or move on from the Bolts completely.

I'd rather have properly funded schools that aren't in 50 year old buildings without A/C, roads that aren't crap, iron water mains that keep breaking and wasting water we don't have to waste replaced. There's plenty of better things to spend taxpayer money on than a new bowl for some random sporting events and a team that doesn't want to be here. But what do I know. I'm just a native.

I feel you, the city and county doesn't spend enough money to fix our crappy, dilapidated streets and freeways. Everything is starting to feel old and run down. So I get it, but a new stadium can also bring in more tax revenue if we can get an MLS team and host other events in the stadium to keep it functioning year around.

But nothing brings a city together like a pro sports team does. It's good for business too. Sports bars, restaurants all benefit from gameday on Sundays. It unites us, and gives the people in SD something to cheer for. Bragging rights, and everything that comes with having an NFL team in your city is a big deal. It's free advertisement anytime we are seen on TV nationally, so it matters.

I think you're assuming the politicians will actually spend the money on those things. I'm not so sure of that. I would love to see them build the stadium and all the sales tax that is generated goes to fix the roads and schools. I just don't see it happening.

We agree on this. The profit motive and abuse of public funds is shameful....has it ever been different in SD?

I don't know if that's really feasible for the Raiders to move to San Antonio, because the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans would object to that.

After all, even if the Rams and Chargers are in L.A., if the Raiders moved to SD, that means you'll have even more Raider fans at the games in SD show up from L.A., as Raider fans totally outnumber Rams and Bolts fans in L.A., hands down. The image of the Raiders doesn't fit the SD market, but it's much better to have an NFL team in SD, than none at all.

After all, the Raiders will be desperate for a new home, and will do anything to get a new stadium and San Diego is the only city currently that is offering public funds to help build one. To me, that is a great incentive to any NFL owner. And no, he will never move to San Antonio, the Raiders are CA team and most likely will stay that way.
As a Bay Area person, I doubt the Raiders will move down to San Diego - as the fan base is hostile to the Raiders given the traditional rivalry.

I'm sorry that Chargers fans have to deal with the nonsense and greed from Spanos. We've had to deal with the treachery from the Davis family up here.
