I am no fan of Trump and his administration, to put it very mildly.

However, the idea of sactuary cities has always seemed insane to me. US Law is very clear on border enforcement being the job of the Federal Government. States and cities have no say regarding who stays and who goes.

I have a lot of respect for Jerry Brown but his support for sanctuary cities borders on being outright seditious. All law enforcement needs to cooperate with Federal immigration authorities. Otherwise, we have no country.

All one has to do is check the Dictionary for a definition of the word Sanctuary.

Do not believe any of the illegals qualify.

As for Jerry Brown, he works for the Legal Citizens/Residents and not for those here who broke Federal laws.

Any person applying for a residence/Green is disqualified with any home Police record.

Based upon INS arrests they all were non future voters.

From what I understand, all Mexican Citizens age 18 and older are given a ID card that also doubles as a Voter ID for Mexico...just a mention here.

Jerry Brown hates America, the proof is this garbage of sanctuary cities and state. Anyone that thinks otherwise has twisted logic. Brown and his America hating girlfriends should be behind bars.
But, this is typical America hating leftists. They live in the greatest country and can't seem to understand how good they have it. Yet, they never leave and live elsewhere. They continue to stay and complain.
They are, the enemy within........They are, my enemy.

It's a breath of fresh air to know there are still sane and reasonable people in California.

Thank you from the rest (most) of America.

My husband had a good point yesterday, and it's something to think about. With illegal immigrants being not a small component of our state economy, there's certainly some good reason for needing them here so long as they're not breaking the law. It's entirely possible that this is our politicians' main goal in keeping them here, but of course they could never say that. Make it a palatable, humanitarian cause, and before you know it, the support from the citizens is there. Meanwhile, he says our law enforcement takes care of the criminal element, citizen or non-citizen.

Presumably, we don't have statistics about illegal immigrants, but it would be interesting to see what their contribution to agriculture, Construction, household Services, Etc is under the table, versus the social services that they use. Anyway, just one more way of thinking about it, but it's purelyy speculative.

As a reminder, the concern was over not cooperating in the deportation of criminal aliens.
