I-5 Traffic between San Diego Airport and Lo Jolla Pkwy (Del Mar: construction, vacation)

On January 25, I arrived San Diego Airport before noon, drove from airport and exited at Lo Jolla Parkway.
Then between 25 through 29, I travelled on I-5 daily, in and out, between La Jolla Parkway, downtown, old town, and conventional center respectively.


On 29, I took Lo Jolla Parkway, got into I-5 around 9am and drove to airport.


May I ask, the traffic flow on I-5 has been steady like days between 1/25/2019 to 1/29/2019?

What time of day? But for the most part, yes.

Going South on 5 from 3pm-6pm it can get backed up. If you go North at that time and attempt to connect on 8 it is really bad but the route you indicated is okay going North on 5

It is worse further up (Carmel Valley, Del Mar) and backs up going North at that time.

It gets a little crowded too on the weekends.

There is construction on 5 and it tends to get the more cautious crowd I was feel like folks go faster on 15

I think traffic is seasonal as well...I believe the 5 is worse over the Summer. Vacationers...SD county fair peeps, Track Crowd.

I was on I-5 on 1/25 around 12:30noon, on 1/26 and 1/27 around 10am, and 5 pm; on 1/28 and 1/29 around 9am and 5 pm.
