Got an embarrassing story for you all.
I'd been painting a room in the house all morning. I go to CostCo Carlsbad, to get lunch. (This is "pre-COVID" btw.)
There I am, counting my pocket change, trying to come up with $1.62 for a hotdog. I pride myself on exact change, when possible. I hate having coins. Anyway, I'm in line, counting up my change, and I have a $1.5X. But, I have a coupla quarters extra, but I wanted to get rid of change, NOT acquire more change. So, there I am, wearing grungy clothes for painting, in line for a hotdog. Suddenly, outta nowhere, this lady puts 2 quarters in my palm, and says,"Maybe this can help you out." I turned and she vanished, but I said loudly, "NOOO, I am just trying to make it work out evenly!!"
She was gone, but everyone else looked at me as if I were homeless. I felt terrible. Jeeze, I kinda feel bad just telling this, here.

On a side note, before we had to use our credit cards at the food court, I'd pay for a hotdog with a $2 note. And, I would not accept the coin change. Either "keep it, or leave it for the next person." They didn't know WHAT to do on that one.

Same here in North Idaho. No more yogurt, (insert sad-face emoticon here). When I get my rebate check at the end of the year, I get a gift card and use that all year at the food court self service order kiosk. No scanning of my membership card. Usually lasts all year before I run out of funds.

I probably wouldn't either, except CostCo & Visa/AE PAY me to shop there. I know it's not much, but over the years, I know it's not a lot, but if I saw 25 grand in cash, laying on the sidewalk, I'd probably pick it up. (I don't care for litter bugs.)

Actually, it's not a bad investment. Pay $110, and get $1100 back... every year.

aghhh how much do you buy. I downgraded my card to the regular membership, because my bonus check was only $8. It is just as cheap & much easier to get groceries locally.

I returned a 3 year old massage gizmo to Costco 2 months ago had it 3 years no receipt.

100 dead presidents back to the Costco credit card no ?'s asked

If you "IMPULSE buy @ Costco you can return they take anything back

Not sure if it affects the annual reward check or not.

I went to the MV food court today for ice cream, and they now have an employee dispensing fountain drinks. You can still get all the refills you want, you just can't fill the cup yourself.
