I know. I know. San Diego has beaches, but don't some of these communities have toddler swim areas? sprinkler parks? I have 2 kids under 2 and finding a neighborhood with a community pool seems hard.
Looking in Scripps Ranch... maybe University City.
Maybe I am googling the wrong things.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is all I've been able to come up with.

Swimming Pools In San Diego

Where I live right now, most neighboorhoods have a community pool and their monthly fee is really affordable. Mine is around $50.00 and it includes trash collection, gardening of common areas, snow removal, and running of the pool. The pool also has a great swim team and lessons. It is only open during the summer months, but we go there often during that time frame. With San Diego's all year round mild weather I am wondering why I am not seeing more pools like this?

Thanks for the link! I'm going to look closely at it as we get closer to the summer. I have four kids -- although we live 5 minutes from the beach-- going there gets old. I've been searching for alternatives and this will help.

I think most of what you are describing are owned and operated by homeowners' associations.

That's the way it is over here too, but some homeowners associations will let others join for a fee. Is that a common practice in the San Diego area?

Try the local YMCA's , I took my daughter who was 3 at the time to the South Bay YMCA on H St in East Chula Vista. They also have lessons and there is a water park in Chula Vista KBF Soak City - San Diego that is alot of fun for all ages. Hope this helps ...............
