I have more questions before we make the big move. Does anyone know what the traffic and the drive time is from Temecula to SD? Mee Mee (wife) is wondering if there are any black communities?

Lets see, there really aren't a lot of black people in general in Temecula. Most of the population is white and a few hispanics. I have a friend who lives in Temecula so Ive spent a bit of time there. Although Temecula is not part of San Diego County the drive to San Diego city is about a half hour or so. The drive to downtown San Diego is about 45-55 mins. You have to consider that these times are without traffic.

I'd say half hour to get from Temecula to Escondido, 1:15 from Temecula to downtown SD, without traffic. Could be 2 hours in rush hour traffic.

I drove from Los Angeles to Downtown SD in less than two hours so Temecula to downtown SD is much less. No, I was not driving at 90mph...about 75mph. Temecula is not as far as some people may think.

It may be less in miles but the traffic is horrible and slow moving.

I have a friend in Temecula and it takes me 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there from Chula Vista without traffic so I would say at least 45-50 minutes from downtown San Diego without traffic.

I like Temecula and the feel of the community, homes, schools but it is WAY too hot for me.

Does any anybody know the types of transportation from Temecula to Downtown L.A. on a daily basis? I need ideas/suggestions/recommendations, etc. I would like to move to Temecula from L.A. but I'm looking at pros & cons since I work in L.A.
