Default Commute time during rush hour from Redwood Shores to downtown SF

How long will it take me to commute in the morning and evening rush hour to and from downtown SF if I live in Redwood Shores?

I used to do the opposite commute from Noe Valley to Redwood shores and it took me generally about 45 min. during peak rush hour (it would take 30 min w/o traffic). I would guess it will be longer going the other way around. You should check out public transit options to save a lot of headache and parking expense, which is considerable in downtown SF unless your employer pays for it.

Use these to figure out your public transit commute. Redwood City has a baby bullet station but San Carlos will probably be closer to RW Shores.

30ish minutes without traffic, probably add 15 minutes to that just for getting in/out of the city during rush hour.

And if there's even just one minor accident along your route on 101, you can add at least another 15 - 30 minutes to your commute time.

But having said that, if you don't want to live in SF, Redwood Shores is a great location by just about any measure (except likely earthquake damage).
