Anyway, I challenge anyone to go to SF and find he aforementioned stereotypes working in any of the buildings in the financial district. Not saying they're not there, they're right outside the Federal Reserve. But to think everyone in the city is such a stereotype well...

I work in the city. I bounce between the FN, Anza View and Soma. Once to The Mission. The majority are just boring old comuters and residents doing there thing.
Exactly. What people don't realize about San Franciscans is that approximately one-third of us (including the Mayor) are Asians, who tend to be quiet, family-oriented and relatively conservative in their social views. (And by the way, everyone is a minority here including whites because no single race makes up more than 50% of the population.)

The problem is that print and electronic journalism, especially TV, is a profit-making operation. As such they are ratings-driven and seek out the types of stories that will bring in the most viewers or sell the most papers. No one's going to tune in to NBC Nightly News to see office workers with briefcases. They want to see leather-clad gays with rainbow mohawks waving protest signs. They want to titillate you, excite you or scare you. That's how the game is played. I just get tired of my city constantly being kicked around and made fun of in the media.

Are you sure it's irrevocable? If they changed it once, why can't they just change it back? Why not change monthly, as long as SF is paying? I'm kidding, of course...mostly.

People move to SF so they can smoke bath salts, run naked in the streets and eat children. Bill O'Reilly says so. Repent or burn.

All very nice and very elegantly put. However, how shall we say, not totally "on the mark." You may say you are "family-oriented and relatively conservative in their social views." However, the facts deem otherwise. SF IS the EXTREME liberal left wing of society (Alameda County is close behind). If ONE THIRD of the city did not agree with its extreme left wing whacko policies, including this one (I love your PC "gender reassignment, instead of saying what it really is), people would not have the bad ideas of what SF is.

If you and the 1/3 were truly tired of "my city" being constantly kicked around and made fun of, you would do something to change it. However, you will not now, nor ever. You see, you are tacitly approving of the left wing fringe of your city taking control of it and using you. You have no real problem with it. For if you, and your great mayor (who I personally detest) would stand up against it, the problems wouldn't be so outlandish and in the media's view. However, you nor he will. Politics won't allow it. The lunatic left fringe of that city controls it and always will. After all, ANYTHING goes in SF. That is what it is famous for.

But unfortunately, unlike Las Vegas, what happens in San Francisco doesn't stay there. As more and more flee further inland and to other states to escape the high housing costs, they take its madness with them and infect where they end up.

Now that you've gotten that out of your system, I'll ask you...so what? What harm do the wacky transgender plastic bag happy meal laws do to you, or the average SF citizen, personally? They're good for headline fodder and nothing more. At least you're not in Miss'ippi where the local laws prevent you from legal obtaining legal procedures like abortion and marriage.
