What if I was a Charger fan in Phoenix before the Cards moved there? Is that still ok?

Assigning fans to teams based solely on where they live is ridiculous on it's face basically. Anyone can be a fan of whatever team they so choose.

I think I'm a Celtics fan now because the bay area has also let me down in that sport.

The Warriors are up n coming right now, and if they build the arena on pier, it will be a hot ticket!

Sure they do. They love it when I buy their merchandise and go to Oakland when Pittsburgh plays there.

Come to think of it, I doubt the 49'ers care about a transplant in FW rooting for them, using your logic of course.

Repeat after me: "It's ok to like Dallas or Houston. It's ok to like Dallas or Houston".

If you actually do feel unstable, seek help.

Weak. Im mainly joking around with you, but I want you to think about how the Steelers are going downhill and will be lucky to make the playoffs next season.

And if it werent for people like you the Cowboys wouldnt be the most valuable franchise and most popular team, by far. Despite not winning!

Teams ebb and flow. The Steelers have ebbed and flowed less than any other team in the Super Bowl era.

The Cowboys have won 5 Super Bowls also though. They have a proud tradition rivaling the 49ers (better if you count pre-Super Bowl era) Just not so great as the Steelers (even though they did beat us once in the Super Bowl).

You kinda sound like a "what have you done for us lately" type of guy though.

Heading towards the mid-season All-Star break:

Pacific Division:
L.A. Clippers 34-16
Golden St. 30-17
L.A. Lakers 22-26
Sacramento 17-33
Phoenix 16-32

"Let me down" is what Lakers fans are up to their chins in these days. Warriors are doing just fine.
BTW, Celtics are toast without Rajon Rondo.

Not at all, and thats my point. Tradition and rooting for the local team is more important. When I hear someone is a fan of a far flung team, again just me, but its says bandwagon.

And c'mon the 49ers 80s to early 90s run is superior to the 70s Steelers or Cowboys.
81 to 94 Niners: 5 superbowls and 9 NFC championship games
70s Steelers: 4 superbowls and 6 AFC championship games

Really though we're talking about the 3 winningest franchises in the SB era. Cowboys are just the most popular.
