If someone is communiting from HMB to SSF and somethign happens on 92, they're not totally screwed. Driving up Hwy 1 through Pacifica probably isn't that much longer a drive.

I live in Half Moon Bay and commute to Oakland....it is a consistent 45 minutes and I rarely ever hit traffic. Once in a while there will be a crash on 92 and it sucks...but it doesnt happen enough to factor in. Many people I know commute to SSF and Menlo Park and they are happy with it.

Half Moon Bay is an incredible community for families. I have a young son. In our neighborhood we have a group of probably 15 families that get together regularly for potlucks and I am always running into people on the beach or in the store.

Outdoor recreation is abundant. If you love nightlife, shopping, etc...HMB is not for you. If you love small towns and access to some of the most incredible beaches anywhere...you can't beat HMB.

Last week it was 100 in other areas on the peninsula. It was a nice 70 in HMB....i think the weather is perfect. Others may disagree.
