Hi there, I will be working by the college located in San Pablo, CA area; I need some information about where should I find housing, is it better go north or south, east or west? I need to find a place that the commute is short and it is safe to live, do not like traffic and need a good place to live with my son. I have been reading about city reviews and it does not look good for San Pablo or Richmond. Any suggestions? Specifics will be great thank you!

Pinole, El Sobrante, East Richmond Heights, El Cerrito or even Martinez (a lot of it will depend on your housing budget)
