We're looking to invest in a property in Vallejo but I've lived all over the east bay all my life and don't know Vallejo that well. We can't afford any multi family homes in the east bay as the prices are just insane. We want to drive out there and look around and was hoping someone here could recommend some neighborhoods to check out and also tell us which areas/neighborhoods that have high crime rates that we should avoid. Thanks!

I can't imagine a serious investor would go looking for advice on City-Data. Don't you know any realtors??

Vallejo is kind of block by block, I don't know if I can give you contact info for a realtor on the forums, but if you message me I will give you the name & number for one who I'm sure can help you

East Oakland will gentrify before Vallejo does.

Default Vallejo Neighborhoods

Hello,
I live and work in Vallejo. I'm able to help you find out more about the various neighborhoods here. Some may be good for one investor, while not so good for another. The same can be said for one person or family choosing to live in one versus another. Crime may be higher in some of the areas closer to the main streets like Sonoma Blvd (where I live/work) and Springs Rd and perhaps some other areas where liquor stores abound. Crime could be a bit lower in the areas where residences (homes) outweigh commercial properties. There are many areas with houses, condos, apartments, stores and more all in the same vicinity and this is convenient for many, but others may wish to be in a neighborhood with many single family residences. If you would like to talk further about it I'd be happy to keep discussing it with you, so just ask and I'll be glad to help.
