What are some other up-and-coming cities that have a growing software industry? Not necessarily a startup scene. What are cities that someone from Silicon Valley/San Francisco can relocate to, that aren't Seattle, Austin, or Portland?

Canadian cities qualify as well. However, Vancouver seems to be in the same boat of exploding housing prices, albeit because of foreign investment, not because of tech gentrification.

How much wealth created via tech in past few yrs by any anyone in any suburbs (or alleged "cities") outside SV?

Seatt is all 20yo AMZN; not aware of any serious AMZN wealth creation aside from <5 guys who are now ancient

Aus only has one 30yo PC co. w/one ancient founder who made serious money back in '90s

Not sure any alleged engineer who isn't worth >>$10MM by age 30 is particularly smart/talented: market has spoken...

And doubt any smart 15yo kid seeking wealth goes anywhere on planet but SV to most rapidly create wealth for self....

Rent here PDR/MDR/Venice are just about the same as SV 2k for 1bdr in decent, safe area.

On a small, but still important scale, also Irvine's tiny (50K pop. & 7.47 sq mi) neighbor to the south, Aliso Viejo:
