I am planning a 3 day ladies getaway to Bodega Bay. Looking for suggestions of must sees. We are interested in wine tasting, seeing the redwoods, boutique shopping and good food. So far, my list of places to possibly visit includes Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Occidental. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

Everything from the movie The Birds. But Bodega Bay doesn't have much else other than the beaches.

Negri's, Dillion Beach, Tomales Bay, Fresh Oysters from Hog Island, Armstrong Woods.

Bottle of wine, fresh French bread and some Point Reyes Blue cheese to go with the fresh oysters.

Hit some of the small beaches between Bodega and Jenner.

Our family has been vacationing that Area since the 70s.

Three days is just about enough time to realize you want about another two weeks.

I bet with some luck, you could see some Tule elk on your way to the beach, or around.

OP, you're planning a beach getaway, but you're filling it full of city activities. There's something wrong with that picture. Where does the beach fit into the schedule? And serendipitous occurrences like stopping to view the elk? If you want a peaceful, nature-centered getaway, I wouldn't go to Santa Rosa. I'd stick around the coast, and maybe visit a small town like Point Reyes Station, which is fun to explore (all several blocks of it), have lunch in ( a couple of good restaurants), check out antique shops, and visit a nearby beach (along the road where elk are wont to wander), that sort of thing. Low-key, crowd-free, full of beautiful views and time slowed down. That's what the NorCal coast is good for. I agree that a visit to the nearest redwood grove would be a good choice.

I took a sea kayaking trip on Bodega Bay once that was organized by UC Davis. I don't remember if we got the kayaks at Bodega Bay or if they were hauled from UC Davis. Maybe you guys can look into a little kayak tour on the water in the bay.
